"The cap'n's not going to be happy," Tem says, pulling back from the kiss.
"Uh-huh," Stope hums happily, pressing his face into Tem's shoulder. "What he doesn't know won't bother him."
Tem drops a kiss onto Stope's bare head. "We could be putting the crew in danger," he points out.
"No offense, Tem, but banging you won't affect me doin' my job," Stope says, putting some space between them so he can look Tem in the eye.
Tem snorted. "Don't know how I feel about that," he says gruffly. "'M not saying I'm gonna start looking out for you more, but I'm not sure I can be impartial."
"You don't have to be impartial," Stope says. "Just not obvious."
"I guess," Tem says. "I guess you're right. Like usual."
Stope grins. "Bet your sorry ass I am."
