Overall this year was.... not great in terms of producing fan content for this account. (I have another content summary going up on my problematic fic account, which will absolutely be more positive than this one.)

I did submit an origfic piece for DPDSF, which was my first time ever sharing original work with non-friends, so I'm proud of that.

Various other bits about me: I'm a college student studying linguistics. I'm self-studying Arabic and ASL. My Spanish is... passable, and I know a bit of German. My music taste tends toward new wave / alt rock / synthpop, but I'm always up for music recs. While I may not be heavily involved with TTRPG games, I read (and occasionally write) short-form games and really enjoy making character sheets for longer games.

This journal is mostly friends-locked, but any finished products I have (fic, podfic) will most likely be public.

There was at one point a darkfic comm (problem_attic) that has been deleted -- I do however own a discord server that was originally intended for the comm, but I'm opening it up to other people now, since it's so inactive, and I wanted to see if there was interest before I just deleted it. Any combination of Uhura, Scotty, Sulu, and Chekov: what shenanigans do they get up to off duty? Who's closest to who? Who's the ringleader? Do they have prank wars?

Bashir & O'Brien: I'd love to see them in one of their holosuite adventures! Whether it goes wrong or not is up to you.

Any combination of Malcolm, Travis, and Hoshi: They've all got such different backgrounds - how do they connect to each other? Where did they start becoming friends? Does Hoshi teach the guys swear words in Klingonese? Are Malcolm and Travis workout buddies? Do Hoshi and Malcolm cook together? Do they tend to hang out in one person's quarters more than the other(s)?

I'd love to see Marcus and Stephen coming to terms with their feelings for each other, or maybe something set during the Mars mission.

For Sinclair and Garibaldi - I'd like a story of how they came to be so close, navigating a new relationship, or something dealing with the aftermath of Sinclair's disappearance.

Valor:

Krai culture is so fascinating to me. I'd love a snapshot of their wedding, Krai-style, or discussion of class differences, or pretty much anything to do with them getting together.

DS9:

How do Jake and Nog deal with their cultural differences? It's one thing to be friends, but another to live with someone. Is there conflict between them when they need to buy / get things for their quarters?

re: Garak and Damar, how can they reconcile their differences? Do they bond over sneering at Dukat? I'd like to see some internal conflict about loving Cardassia in a different way than the rest of the Cardassians do.

RoL:

How and why did Nightingale and Seawoll get to be rivals? I'd enjoy seeing them get together despite that, or maybe they're rivals because of some messy breakup.

Peter and Jaget have a really interesting dynamic to me. I'd be happy with anything!

Angst is always good, and Mellenby/Nightingale is good for angst. I'd like to see Nightingale coping with losing David, or maybe how they got together.

dork!!! what a good pairing. I'd love anything to do with them revealing their relationship (maybe to North & Theta?).

Rush folds his arms across his chest. He’s really not happy about this - despite what he says, he’s not convinced any more that Young is the wrong person to be leading this mission. He knows for sure that Telford is the wrong person, though, and he’d much rather take his chances with Young than Telford.

“Penny for ‘em,” Young says, one eyebrow raised. His hair is much longer than it had been when they’d first come onto Destiny, and he looks good like this, curls softening the shape of his face.

“No,” Rush says curtly, pulling himself out of the inappropriate thoughts. “Just waiting for Telford.”

If he hadn’t been looking for it he wouldn’t have seen Young flinch. “Yeah,” he says. “I’m sure you’re pleased about this.”

Rush snorts, looking away. “You might not be the right person, but you’re closer than he ever will be,” he says.

He knows without looking that Young’s mouth is hanging open, and suddenly he wants to push the colonel against the wall and kiss him breathless, right up until the second Telford comes to take over Young’s body and command position. But he doesn’t.

“Thanks,” Young says eventually. “You’ve been. We, uh, couldn’t have gotten this far without you.”

Rush nods, half in acknowledgement and half in agreement.

Then Young jerks a little, and his posture changes, and Rush knows that this is Telford, come to take away any and all progress they’ve made. “Welcome home, Colonel,” he says, with a little mocking bow.

"You said you were sorry and that was good enough for me," John comments idly, inspecting Rodney's arithmetic.

Young looks from Rush to Sheppard, confused. "Didn't you two just meet, like, yesterday?"

"Yep," Sheppard says.

It’s hard to tell behind Rush’s six-day beard scruff, but Young is pretty sure he’s turning red. “It was an accident,” he says shortly.

“What did you say?” Young asks incredulously.

“Well, if I say it again, it’s going to happen. Again,” Rush says. “And I’m not doing that.”

“Thanks,” Sheppard mumbles, “but I’m gonna go now.”

"The cap'n's not going to be happy," Tem says, pulling back from the kiss.

"Uh-huh," Stope hums happily, pressing his face into Tem's shoulder. "What he doesn't know won't bother him."

Tem drops a kiss onto Stope's bare head. "We could be putting the crew in danger," he points out.

"No offense, Tem, but banging you won't affect me doin' my job," Stope says, putting some space between them so he can look Tem in the eye.

Tem snorted. "Don't know how I feel about that," he says gruffly. "'M not saying I'm gonna start looking out for you more, but I'm not sure I can be impartial."

"You don't have to be impartial," Stope says. "Just not obvious."

"I guess," Tem says. "I guess you're right. Like usual."

Stope grins. "Bet your sorry ass I am."
